She's Here!!

Madison Joy Bishop has finally come to join our family! She was born on December 7th, 2007 at 2:58pm. She was 7 pounds 1 ounce and 20.5 inches long; just a little peanut! She is just darling as can be and the sweetest little thing ever! We went into the hospital a little after midnight Thursday/Friday, and she was born 14 hours later. A pretty long labor, but when it came to pushing, four pushes and she was here! It was such a calm and spiritual experience, if you can imagine childbirth being calm! The fact that she was so ready to come made the whole experience so smooth because I didn't have to push as hard, just slow and steady. It was just such a different experience this time around because I felt so much more confident and I knew a little more what to expect. It was really nice to have both Bryce's mom and my mom there with us to enjoy such a miracle at hand. We were anxious and excited to bring her home to meet her big brother so we just stayed in the hospital one night. Thank you to all of our visitors that came to see us and all the caring phone calls and texts! We really appreciate all of your love and support! It was hard, especially for me, to leave Kaden for so long, but our homecoming was well worth it as his eyes lit up and welcomed us with the biggest smile we'd ever seen! Kaden is so adorable with his little sister. He thinks that she is the cutest thing. He always smiles at her and laughs when she makes funny faces or whimpers. That is all she really does. I prayed for a content baby for my sanity and Heavenly Father sure listened. Madison rarely fuses and when she whimpers it is because she is hungry. What an angel!! I know there is still time she is only 5 days old, but so far so good! She is a great eater and has such a strong suck that she can already use a pacifier! Maddy loves to sleep, especially all curled up on Grammy's chest. It was so precious to see Bryce with Kaden when he was first born and I think it is even that much sweeter to see how he interacts with his baby girl. Little Maddy has already melted her Daddy's heart! Well enough is enough now for some pictures of our little angel.

She's almost here!!!

This past Wednesday I had my weekly doctors appointment and this time they also performed an ultrasound! I never got one this close to delivery with Kaden so it was quite a treat! It was amazing to see that she actually looks like a baby and not the resemblance of an alien, which is kind of what they look like when you get it done at 20 weeks. My doctor wanted to get a better estimate of how big she was so far, and to make sure that everything was functioning correctly. Everything was great, and she was already 7 1/2 pounds! So I guess it is safe to say that my babies are a little on the larger side. They don't think she'll be as big as Kaden was, but a decent size. I guess we will have to wait and see, but not for long!! I am 38 weeks today and I am scheduled to be induced this coming Thursday Dec 6th at midnight, so I guess technically Dec 7th. We are very excited and can hardly wait! Of course now I have a long list of things I want to get done before she comes. I guess that is the downfall to knowing. However, there is that very slight possibility that I could go into labor by myself, like I said pretty slight for my family genes. Well I will keep you all posted, and of course I will post pictures as soon as we get home so you can all see her!!
Can anyone say Prego? My belly at 37 weeks! You can also see Kaden in the shadows trying to steal my spotlight! :) PS. Those aren't deodorant stains it is my white tank top coming through, we are stretched pretty thin these days!!

When we say "where is Madison?" even if he is on the other side of the room he will run up and point right at my belly. It is so cute! Hopefully once she is here he won't keep pointing at my belly! That could be embarrassing!
Kaden also likes to kiss his baby sister (although as it appears, sometimes it does turn into a bite! Ouch is right!) He really is going to be the best big brother! He is so full of love! He has had practice on how to be soft with his little cousins! Sorry to Gracey and McKenna who had to be the guinea pigs! He just wants to love, but comes on a little strong sometimes! Well, more to come soon!!

Next post...she'll be here!!

Halloween Fun!

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's......
KADEN!!!

We had so much fun taking Kaden trick-or-treating for his first real Halloween (last year he was only 5 days old)! We went to about four houses where Kaden walked up each walkway and said "Da", which is his favorite word, meaning "dog". He was so cute and surprisingly not that scared for such a little guy. For the rest of the night Kaden and I helped hand out candy at Grandma and Grandpa Bishop's house, while Bryce enjoyed freaking out trick-or-treaters as he and his brother jumped out bushes in their scream masks and black capes. We had a great time and can't wait for next year!!

If your wondering, Bryce and I both have blow up costumes. I am on Frankenstein's back and Bryce is a cowboy on the back of a horse!! They are actually very comfortable costumes!

These are the pumpkins that Bryce and his family carved. I was in charge of taking pictures and watching our son while the others testing their artistic abilities. These two are the ones that Bryce carved himself. Very impressive, I nabbed a talented one!!

I Can't Believe He's 1 !!

Well our little guy turned 1 on Friday!! It seems like he is not so much of a little guy anymore. He is growing up so fast, and is on the verge of giving up that crawling stuff and graduating to walking. On Thursday we were in Newport and had a little birthday party for Kaden with all of his friends. They are so sweet and we miss them like crazy, but got some cute pictures while we were there!! We had a pretty mellow day on Friday. Grammy was here visiting and helping me get ready for the party. Then Saturday brought the big birthday bash with all of our family. Just our immediate family produced about 20 people!! It was quite the day. I don't think I have ever seen a little boy so loved and so spoiled! He got so many fun new toys to play with and some very handsome outfits that I can't wait to get him in! (I'll be sure to post a fashion show with all of his cute clothes!) We had to help him a bit with the gift opening because once he tore off a piece of wrapping paper he was enthralled with that piece and didn't want to keep ripping. It was so cute! Then of course came the cake, the best part in my book!! I was hoping he would devour it, and I'll have to say he did a pretty good job. Felicity made a darling tiger cake to match his jungle themed party. There were lots of yummy goodies that he was interested in on the top of the cake and not so much the cake itself. He did enjoy making a mess with the frosting and proceeded to play peek-a-boo with frosting covered hands to make it even better!! It was funny because when he first put his hands in the frosting he looked over at me to see my reaction but a quick smile gave him the green light to continue! We had such a nice time and enjoyed the wonderful company. It has been a little odd for me to come to grips that he is 1, because I remember his birth so vividly and can't believe it was a whole year ago. I guess I shouldn't fret because oh wait I will be back reliving it in about a month!! Imagine that!! :) I posted some fun pictures so you can all feel a part of his birthday and maybe even taste that orange frosting!!

Birthday bubbles are always a blast!

It's so much fun to be 1 !!

Kaden's Birthday is today, and we are having a Birthday bash for him tomorrow so I will post again soon with all of the fun pictures of his 1st Birthday!! Have a great weekend!!

Come on Down!!!

Well this past Monday I had the opportunity to go to a taping of the Price is Right! As you probably know Drew Carey is the new host so this was one of his first tapings that we were attending. When I say we that included Bryce's dad James, brother Justin, James' friend Ricki and I. We were the only lucky ones that could work out our schedule so we could go. So we all headed up to Hollywood in hopes of impressing the interviewers so that atleast one in our group could be a contestant. Bryce's family came up with the idea of the shirts that we wore. I wore a shirt that said "I'll name her Drew" with an arrow pointing to my belly and the rest of the guys wore shirts that said "She'll name her Drew". Anyways to our amazing suprise we accomplished our goal and I was the one that was actually called on the show to be a contestant. In fact, I was the first one called on the show. Everyone is excited and yelling and then they announce the names and hold up a big sign that says the name because it was hard for us to hear. It was so crazy to see Tiffany Bishop!!! So I got called up to be one of the first 4 bidders at the panal. Once again, to my great surprise, I actually won the first bid and got to go up on stage with Drew to then play a game!! My game included a Kowasaki dirt bike and a very funky contemporary couch. So guess what...I totally won the game!!! I then got to spin the wheel to try to be in the running for the showcase (the wheel is actually pretty heavy by the way). So I spun it and after it went around a couple of times it tinkered on the $1.00 and then at the last moment went up a notch and landed on $0.15. Darn!! So close!! I rolled again and went over, so that was the end of my playing. It was so awesome!!! So I won a bunch of camping gear, a dirt bike and a funky couch!! It was such a crazy thing. I was so nervous and in shock at the same time!! We don't know yet when the show will air, but as soon as I find out I'll let you all know so you can watch me embarrass myself. I really have to warn you that I was really excited so I probably look like such a dork, but oh well, it was a once in a lifetime experience! So that is my big exciting event. By the way, Drew Carey is such a nice guy and very personable. He signed autographs and told jokes during commericial break. I got a little shirt for Kaden that he signed as well as my shirt. What an experience!!! Stay tuned for the air date.

Trip to Fresno

A couple of weeks ago my cousin got married in Fresno, so my mom, Eric, Harmony, Felicity, Gracey, Kaden and I all squished in my mom's Tahoe and headed to Fresno. We were full to the brim. Unfortunately, Bryce and Felicity's husband Rob had to "bring home the bacon" for us, so they were unable to join the party! Most of my extended family live in Fresno so it was a nice chance to go to the wedding and be able to visit my relatives all in the same place. It had been a while since they had seen Kaden so it was definitely due time. Eric was our hero the whole trip as he was the only guy to do all the man things like carry and load luggage!! :) Harmony and I are both pregnant so we weren't much help, and we had two babies with us to care for so it was awesome to have some muscles with us. Poor guy, but he was a trooper with a car full of girls and two babies!! Anyways, as you can tell we were very appreciative. We stayed at Grandma's house and got to visit with all our family!! At the reception Kaden, like always, decided that he wanted to steal the spotlight so he started to dance to the music. We would hold his hands and he would totally dance, but only to songs that had a good beat. When a slow song came on he would sit down on the dance floor to have a break. He loves all the attention and for all eyes to be on him. What a ham!! We had such a great time, and it was so nice to spend quality time with my Grandma and Grandpa. Well here are some pictures to narrate our weekend.

Toys were very important...

and so was sleep!!

Kaden tried to help Eric with some driving!
