Sail Into the Sunset!

Well I have to begin with the big news, our new addition! (No I'm not pregnant!!!) We recently purchased a 22 foot 1976 Chrysler Sailboat!! Bryce has been looking for sailboats for what is going on 3 years now, and finally all the stars aligned! The right boat, price, and most importantly the right timing. The boat came on a trailer so we are able to keep it at our house, now that we have the room. It was much bigger than we anticipated, but nicer than we anticipated also. It has a cabin underneath that sleeps 4 and has a table, a little stove, sink and even a toilet! Needless to say we are very excited! On Saturday we took it on it's maiden voyage in a near by lake. We wanted to make sure all was well before we plunged it into the ocean. I'm glad to report all is well! It did great, and Bryce was able to sail it around the lake for almost an hour, with the help of his crew Justin and Eric! After kickin' it at the beach with the kids I was also able to go for a spin. It was super windy by the time I got on and we had some trouble getting it back to the dock. Chock it up to adventure I guess! We are very excited for the many excursions ahead of us! I, of course, am looking forward to my romantic dinner cruise! Pressure is on Captain!
Ahoy Captain!

Thanks Eric for pulling it with your pimp ride!

Poor Kaden got attacked by tons of fire ants at the lake! This is just one leg! They are on the other leg and some on his hands. I counted at least 50 bites! I thought I would share his pain with you! Poor little guy! Although, they look bad, they don't seem to really bother him. I've said it before, he is 100% BOY!!!
I just wanted to throw in this cute picture of Madison. Check out that drool!!

I'm a Big Girl Now!

I thought I would take over for mommy and give you the update on the youngest Bishop. I am already 4 months old! Can you believe it! My mom thinks I'm growing by the minute! She likes to exaggerate a bit! Well I'm holding my own in this household. I have developed thick skin with crazy Kaden running around me! He does make me laugh when he runs up to me and says "hi" in a high-pitched squeal trying to mimic me. I have definitely discovered my voice. I'm actually the loudest when I'm happy. I have been sleeping through the night for a while now. I usually sleep about 8 hours at night before I wake up to eat, and then sleep a bit more. As you can imagine mommy is very happy about that. I like to be in the action during the day so, unlike my brother, I don't nap very much. I love to be held, and could sleep all day long if someone would just sit and hold me, but mommy is quite busy!

It doesn't take much to make me smile and laugh. I love the way my daddy talks to me, he always makes me smile. I heard him ask mommy the other day "How does Maddy already have me wrapped around her little finger?" He didn't know I was listening! :) I love to eat and have plenty of cute chub to show for it. I roll over both ways, belly to back, and back to belly. I can grab and hold toys, and I love my hands. Although mommy gives me toys to play with, I am perfectly happy chewing on my hands, which explains my thumb sucking. Mommy and Daddy tried so hard to get me to take a pacifier, until they finally got the clue that all I wanted was my thumb. It is much more comforting than a rubbery piece of plastic. What were they thinking! I am definitely a loved little girl and so lucky to have such wonderful grandparents, aunts, and uncles. I know mommy, daddy and Kaden are crazy about me. I couldn't ask for a better family. I love them all so much! Now I'll let you enjoy some pictures!
Aren't I cute?!?I do love my thumb!Grandpa, give me a helmet I'm ready to ride!Hey! Where is my food? Thanks big bro, you didn't forget about me!
Anyone want a ride? Can you tell the family resemblance?I do love your kisses Kaden, but they're a bit slobbery!Thats all for now!

Beachin' It Up!

To commemorate our extremely warm weather, we decided to have a beach day on Saturday. The kids and I ventured down to Oceanside where we met the whole gang! My sisters and their families and my brother and sister-in-law and their family. It was a nice warm day and we had lots of extra hands to help corral the kids; well mostly Kaden who charges for the waves, never looking back! I brought our red wagon along to help carry some of my stuff, and as you can see from the pictures, it ended up being a toy that kept Kaden and McKenna occupied for most of the day. Enjoy the pictures!
The sand brings much excitement!!
Maddy even sported her bathing suit!
Lil' miss Gracey! There's nothing better than sand and chocolate huh McKenna?

Sorry Skye, you were sleeping when I was taking pics! You were awfully cute when you woke up though!

Fun Friday!

We had the pleasure of having Daddy home on Friday, well home is a relative term! Bryce went to do what he loves more than anything in the world (well besides being with us of course), scuba diving! While he went to play in the water, we did the same and played with our own big fish! It was such a beautiful day, we just couldn't stay inside!

Baluga's debut!

Grammy got Kaden this adorable whale swimming pool that we used for the first time. I'd have to say that it was much enjoyed. I'm sure we will be living in it this summer!

How old are you Kaden?

Madison decided she would just lounge in her papasan chair and watch her big brother play!

Scuba Steve!!!

I am always so excited to see the pics Bryce takes of a dive. There is actually some very neat and beautiful wildlife even off our California coasts. I have to admit sometimes I am a little jealous of the awesome sights, and how relaxing it seems to swim through the water and observe the creatures around you. However, after this dive I was not one bit jealous! He saw a shark!! I'm talking JAWS style!! He said he was playing with a big crab, turned around and a 9 foot shark swam right by he and his brother. Too close for comfort! He was freaked but excited at the same time. Needless to say, I have second thoughts about becoming certified and joining in the scuba adventures! I guess you could say he survived a potential shark attack! I need to hurry up on the life insurance policy huh!

Sorry for the fuzzy picture, but this is the shark they saw, a Grey Nurse Shark! FREAKY!!
